If you've never ordered a "blemished" stripped AR-15 lower receiver from Palmetto State Armory (PSA) before, you'll probably be like I was.hard pressed to find the blemish! Seriously, so far as I was concerned, mine was flawless!
These have been going for $99.99 recently, but they have a Fathers Day special, this weekend, for $69.99, plus shipping (usually $7 per lower). Remember, you MUST have these shipped to an FFL holder, as the ATF considers the lower receiver the actual "firearm" part of the AR-15. If you're not sure who in your area has an FFL, any private gun shop should have one, and you can usually arrange for them to fax a copy of their FFL to PSA, with nothing more than a phone call. A nominal fee will be charged by them, so ASK how much beforehand. If you're ordering more than one, many FFL holders will charge you just one transfer fee.
This is an outstanding value for anyone who wants to build their own AR-15, using a quality lower receiver. Prices are falling, daily, on components, so go for it!
